JACK THE RIPPER



Jack the ripper is the best known name given to an unidentified serial killer who was active in the largely impoverished area around the Whitechapel district of London in 1888. A serial killer murdered and mutilated at least five prostitutes in the East End of London in 1888 and because no one was ever arrested or tried for the murders, crime buffs are still fascinated with The Jack The Ripper case more than 115 years later.




WHY IS JACK THE RIPPER SO FAMOUS??

Jack the ripper can be so famous because his way of murdered the prostitute which is he stabbed and  take out the abdomen from the body. Jack the ripper had 5 victims which are all of them were prostitutes then he wasn't a particularly prolific murderer compared to many who have come since. The several factors is combined to help make this series of murdered famous all over the world and all people knowing about that. Not least among them was the fact that the newspapers of the day gave a huge amount of coverage to the crimes. 

HOW MANY VICTIMS WERE THERE?

It is generally believed that there were five victims of Jack the Ripper. They were:-
1.  Mary Nichols, murdered on 31st August 1888
2.  Annie Chapman, murdered on 8th September 1888.
3.  Elizabeth Stride, murdered on 30th September 1888.
4.  Catherine Eddowes, also murdered on 30th September 1888.
5.  Mary Kelly, murdered on 9th November 1888.

The following is a list of people suspected of being Jack the Ripper



  
Despite the fact that no-one was ever brought to justice or charged with the crimes, there have, over the years, been more than a hundred named suspects who may or may not have been Jack the Ripper. Some of those suspects are fascinating.
